THERMAL NUMERICAL INVESTIGATION OF A SMALL PARABOLIC TROUGH COLLECTOR UNDER DESERT CLIMATIC CONDITIONS

چکیده

The main objective of this study is to conduct a controlled thermal investigation small Parabolic Trough Concentrator (PTC) under real climatic conditions for El-Oued region on 16/03/2018, where the water was adopted as heat transfer fluid. One-dimensional and transient energy balance equations have been analyzed, simplified then programmed with Matlab code. What distinguishes precise tracking all coefficients that would give an accurate representation behavior studied device. average optical efficiency device has reached 78.55 %, value 74.30 while overall coefficient loss 5.96 W.m-2.°C-1. Water steam formed effect practical between 10:20 11:50. results obtained in encouraged research team start manufacturing dimensions mentioned paper, order direct prototype setup scientific experiments will be field solar cooling, desalination, heating other areas serve society welfare maintain environment integrity.
